A List of the Documents You Need to Apply for U.S. Citizenship:
- Your Permanent Residency Card (Also known as the “Green Card”).
- Your Nevada Driver’s License or ID.
- Your Social Security Card.
- Two photographs, American passport style (measuring 2 by 2 inches).
- A check or money order for USCIS – Please call me prior to your appointment for the exact amount.
- You must know all the addresses where you have lived in the last 5 years, and the start and ending dates that you lived at each address.
- If you are married – you need to know your spouse’s full name, current address, and date of birth. You also need to know the date and place where you married him/her, and his/her “A Number” if he/she is a naturalized citizen, permanent resident, or has an immigration work permit. If your spouse is a naturalized citizen, you must also know the date he/she became a citizen.

- You must be either a U.S. citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident to petition a spouse. Therefore, you must show proof of your U.S. citizenship (such as an unexpired U.S. passport, birth certificate – if you were born in the United States or your naturalization certificate). If you are a resident, you need to bring your “Green Card”
- You need to bring your marriage certificate. If it is not written in English, it will need to be translated into English. I can translate documents that are written in Spanish. The marriage certificate needs to be certified.
- You need to bring two U.S. passport photos (that measure 2 by 2 inches): two of you, and two of your spouse.
- You need to show proof that your marriage is legitimate, such as: birth certificates of children that you have in common, your income tax returns (if you filed together), contracts where both of your names appear on them, bank account statements where both of your names appear, property titles/deeds to property where both of your names appear as the property owners, and/or bills that are listed in both of your names. If you don’t have enough of these types of proof, then you can also bring notarized letters that have been written by family members or friends. Each letter should state how the person is related to you, or how he/she knows you. This person should also state how he/she knows you are married (for example – he/she was at your wedding, or he/she is a family relative of yours). In his/her letter, the witness needs to state his/her complete name, birth date, and full address.

- You must be either a U.S. citizen to petition a brother or a sister. Therefore, you must show proof of your U.S. citizenship (such as an unexpired U.S. passport, birth certificate – if you were born in the United States or your naturalization certificate).
- You need to bring your birth certificate. If it is not written in English, it will need to be translated into English.
- You need to bring your brother or sister’s birth certificate. If it is not written in English, it will need to be translated into English.
- You need to bring your marriage certificate if you are married. If it is not written in English, it will need to be translated into English.
- You need to bring your driver’s license or state I.D. and your social security card.
- If your brother/sister was ever in the United States, you need to know the date that he/she entered the United States for the first time, and which city/town in the United States he/she first crossed into.

- ONLY U.S. CITIZENS CAN PETITION THEIR PARENT. Therefore, you must show proof of your U.S. citizenship (such as your current passport, birth certificate if you were born in this country, or naturalization certificate).
- You need to bring your birth certificate. If it is in Spanish, I can translate it into English. There will be an additional cost for the translation. If it is in another language other than Spanish, you will need to bring a translation of it into English please.
- You need to write down all the addresses where you have lived in the last 5 years, and the starting and ending dates that you lived at each address.
- If you are married – you will need to write down your spouse’s full name, current address, and date of birth. You will also need to write down the date and place where you married him/her, and his/her “A Number” if he/she is a naturalized citizen, permanent resident, or has an immigration work permit. If your spouse is a naturalized citizen, you will also need to write down the date and place he/she became a citizen. Please bring your marriage certificate. - If you were married to someone different in the past, you will need to write down the name and date of birth of your ex-husband/wife, the date you married him/her, and the date you divorced him/her or the date he/she died (if you became a widow/er). You will also need to write his/her “A Number” if he/she is/was a naturalized citizen, permanent resident, or had a work permit. If you have more than one ex-spouse, you need to write down this information for each of them. Bring the divorce or death certificate(s) for each ex-spouse you have ever had. If this certificate is not in English, it will need to be translated into English.

- You must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Therefore, you must show proof of your U.S. citizenship (such as your valid passport, birth certificate if you were born in this country, or certificate of naturalization). If you are a resident, you must bring your current “mica”
- You need to bring your child’s birth certificate.
- You need to bring your driver’s license/ID, and your Social Security card.
- I need to know the full names of your parents, their dates, and places of birth, and where they currently live (if they are still living).
- I need to know the full name of your child’s other parent, his/her date of birth, and I need to know where this parent currently lives (if he/she is still living).

- Your work permit (I’ll make a copy of it, and will return it to you immediately, before you leave.)
- Your driver’s license or ID (I’ll make a copy of it, and will return it to you immediately, before you leave.)
- Your Social Security card (I’ll make a copy of it, and will return it to you immediately, before you leave.)
- Your last paycheck stub for 2022, or your 2022 tax return.
